The Leconfield Coonawarra Estate was established in 1974 by noted oenologist, Sydney Hamilton, and is renowned for the distinctive wines it produces. The Front Twenty commemorates the first Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted by Sydney on Coonawarra’s terra rossa soil. These 20 rows fronted the small grazing property now known as Leconfield. The wine displays the richness, elegance, and longevity of the fine Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon style to which Sydney aspired.
